# Facebook Messenger

> Connect your Facebook Page so Messenger chats come into Keloa.

<Tip>
  Track availability on the [Keloa roadmap](https://keloa.ai/roadmap).
</Tip>

<Note>
  **Coming soon.** Messenger is not yet a live channel. The flow below is the planned setup. Click **Notify me** in **Settings → Channels → Facebook Messenger** to be pinged the day it ships.
</Note>

Connect the Facebook Page you already use to route Messenger conversations into the Keloa inbox.

## Prerequisites

* A **Facebook Page** (not a personal profile).
* Admin access to the Page.
* A **Meta Business account** linking the Page (usual path if you run any Meta ads).

## Connect Messenger

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the integration">
    Sidebar → **Integrations** → **Messenger** → **Connect**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in with Meta">
    Meta asks which Page(s) to connect. Pick the one you want.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Grant permissions">
    Messenger access, page engagement, manage inbox. Approve.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Done">
    Connected. Messenger messages to your Page start flowing into the Keloa inbox.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## 24-hour window

Messenger enforces a **24-hour response window**. Inside it, you can send anything. Outside, you need a **message tag** (`CONFIRMED_EVENT_UPDATE`, `POST_PURCHASE_UPDATE`, `ACCOUNT_UPDATE`) or a One-Time Notification token — see Meta's platform policy.

Keloa blocks free-form AI replies outside the window automatically.

## What the AI does

Inside the 24-hour window, AI replies as on any other channel. Outside, human teammates can still reply with tagged messages if the context fits one of Meta's allowed tags.

## Combined with Instagram

If you run both Instagram and Messenger for the same brand, you'll have two separate channels in Keloa. They can point at the same or different AI agents.

## Disconnecting

**Integrations → Messenger → Disconnect** removes the webhook subscription from the Page. Messages stop arriving immediately.

## Troubleshooting

| Issue                                          | Fix                                                                                      |
| ---------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| "No Pages found" during connect | The Meta user signing in doesn't admin any Pages. Grant access or have an admin connect. |
| Messages arrive but can't reply | Check the channel status in Integrations — the token may need re-auth. |
| Outside 24-hour window, need to reach customer | Use a tagged message type or email/WhatsApp follow-up. |
