# Members & roles

> Invite teammates, set roles, manage specialties.

A Keloa workspace is a team. Invite your colleagues, give them the right level of access, and tag them with specialties so assignment rules know where to route work.

## Invite a teammate

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Members">
    Sidebar → **Settings** → **Members & roles**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Invite">
    Click **Invite member**. Enter email, pick a role, add optional specialties.
  </Step>

  <Step title="They accept">
    Invitee gets an email with a link. Clicking it creates their account (or attaches this workspace to their existing Keloa account) and drops them in the inbox.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Invitations expire after 14 days. Resend or revoke any pending invite from the Members list.

## Roles

| Role       | Can do                                                                             |
| ---------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Admin** | Everything — billing, members, settings, channels, agents, knowledge, flows, inbox |
| **Agent** | Inbox (reply, assign, tag, resolve), read knowledge, read flows, read settings |
| **Viewer** | Read-only across inbox and analytics                                               |

One person can be an admin on multiple workspaces.

## Change a role

Members list → click a teammate → pick a new role. Takes effect immediately.

The last admin cannot be demoted — there must always be at least one admin.

## Specialties

Specialties are free-form tags on a teammate (e.g. `returns`, `shipping`, `technical`, `dutch`). They do two things:

* Show up in the **Assign** picker so you know who's a good fit.
* Drive **assignment rules** — route `returns`-tagged conversations to everyone with the `returns` specialty.

Edit on any teammate card. Type to create, × to remove.

## Remove a teammate

Members list → click → **Remove from workspace**. They lose access immediately. Their past replies stay on the conversations (authorship is preserved in the audit log).

## Plan limits

Each plan has a seats cap:

| Plan     | Seats |
| -------- | ----- |
| Starter  | 1     |
| Growth   | 2     |
| Business | 5     |
| Scale    | 25    |

Inviting beyond the cap prompts an upgrade.

## Audit log

**Settings → Security → Audit log** shows every admin action — invites, role changes, settings edits — timestamped and attributed. Available on Business and Scale.
